Special agent Jeremy Duffin leidt een duister leven vol herinneringen aan zijn verleden. Hij werd als kind ontvoerd en in een wak van een bevroren meer gegooid. Daar werd hij voor dood achtergelaten. Jeremy herkent een patroon in de verdwijning en dood van kinderen die op dezelfde manier eindigen als hij had kunnen eindigen. Hij begint een persoonlijke zoektocht naar de man die de rust in het normaal zo rustige stadje Pennsylvania verstoort. Wat Jeremy niet weet, is dat de man waar hij naar op zoek is, eigenlijk een schepsel is: de Duivel van Kerstmis, Krampus. Hij is begonnen aan zijn laatste taak voor Kerst: het vinden van zijn laatste slachtoffer, Jeremy’s dochter Rebecca. Met de hulp van het hoofd van zijn afdeling lukt het Jeremy om de ontvoerder te lokaliseren, maar dit resulteert in de dood van twee collega-agenten.
